ms. sna '08 adventure...

25th of March 2008

The night was not filled with stars [for it was raining] because the stars were on stage for the much coveted title of MS. SNA. The night was the pre-pageant part of the search. It took until 11:30 in the evening because of certain unpredictable events! [the rain and the shortcircuit]. But, it paid-off. In my humble opinion, that evening was a success!

So we all went home, tired but happy. Ann and Ruth were to sleep over at our house. So we had our lights off, still chatting. Then, I went to my room.

After a while, my phone beeped. Ruth texted me and said we need to go back to school. The reason for this: she forgot to put off the computer of Sir Joseph! Poor Ruth.

So I went to their room, feeling sleepy. After countless texts and calls to others asking for KuyaTata's number, Ruth finally decided to really go back to school.

So we went, sneaking for my Ma or Tella might hear us going out late in the evening, I think that was already 1:30 am. The gates were locked. How unfortunate of us! We were like homeless kittens waiting for trash to scavenge if there were traces of food to fill our hungry stomachs.

Alas! Sir Manny has Kuya Tata's number. So Ruth texted him -with hope in her face- so he could open the gates. But the number did not exist according to the computer generated reply of the cellular provider.

She then decided to go to the back of the school [Kuya Tata stayed at the rear end of the school]. We were calling his name, but he was sound asleep. We had a plan -a tremendous and ingenious plan- Ruth would call his name, Ann would pick-up stones, and I would throw the stones at his door. But the plan did not work. Poor us. So we walked away heading home. We were like prostituted persons [sorry for the term] walking at the silence of the road, waiting for customers.

After sometime, we decided to just go home. The Church opened at 5 in the morning, so I told them that our last resort was to go to school at a very early time. So we went back home, sneaking.

But we were almost caught by my mom, so I made alibis. That I went to their room to get something. But I did not know that she saw them too and she thought that they were leaving. So I made alibis that they were just [I think] going to the comfort room.

That was 3 in the morning.

Ann told me that she woke up at 5 and saw Ruth sleeping like a baby in the bosom of an angel [okay, okay I'm exaggerating], thus, she went back to sleep.

At last, Ruth was awake but at around quarter to 8! Thought they did not find out the computer was still on? You're way totally wrong Sir Joseph got there before Ruth! hehe

It was such an adventure! Tough luck for us!

Moral of the story, never open the computer not assigned to you!

superstition...

(viii)

Superstitions
n: beliefs or practices resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, or trust in magic or chance. (The Merriam-Webster Dictionary, 1997)

I would define superstition as some explanation for something that has no logical basis or stems for an irrational belief. I am not really into superstition, but some might say I am. The reason for me following superstitions in not because I believe in them, nor for the thinking "no harm in trying, but for mere obedience and not wanting to start a debate. Before when I do not follow a superstition, a debate would always start and I would be always the one lost.

Well, I just believe and trust God in whatever happens. God is more powerful than superstitions, in fact superstitions have no powers!

the saints...

(vii) SAINTS do not answer prayers, they pray them. Saints do not have the power to grant prayers but they intercede for us to GOD for our prayers to be answered. But we can go directly to God, so why pray to Saints? Ever had this experience when you are going out, your friend comes along with you and is the one who talks to your mom and/or dad to let you go out. That's the role of Saints, friends who are there to help you! (Saints are also there to serve as role models.)

the trinity...

(vi) TRINITY is Father, Son, and Spirit as one. The Three are One. The Holy Trinity can be somewhat explained using a sheet of paper. When folded twice, it will have three faces. During the Old Testament times only one face was revealed (the Father) but the Son was already being prophesied. During the New Testament times, the second face was unfolded (the Son), thus there are now two faces shown, and like the Son, the Spirit is also being mentione. In Acts, the third face is finally revealed (the Spirit) and now the whole world has seen the fulness of the sheet of paper (the fullness of the TRINITY)!

Love

(x) Love...

The word love has become a clichè. It has been mentioned for so many times that it can sometimes be irritating. From TV programs, newspaper articles, books, to loads of other communication mediums.

But there are many kinds of love, love of parents, friendly love, love of nature, and the ultimate love: the love of God. But I won't talk about those kinds, I will concentrate on the love few people can't relate to: Romantic love.
Have you ever been in "love"? Me, no! However do you ever wonder what lovers talk about when they're together? Men talk about boy stuffs: basketball or even sex! Girls talk about "kikay" stuffs: gossips or beauty.

What do lovers do when they're in each others arms? Men play games, girls kikay stuffs.

How do different worlds clash together? Perhaps That's the mystery of love, that no one has ever been able to unlock. For me I'm not after romantic love. I'll just put all my energies on the other kinds of love, especially agape.
